Beauty Built With Meaning
Absolute Salon and Day Spa is more than a salon space — it carries a personal story of nearly two decades in Shelby Township, along with rebuilding, resilience, and creativity.
In 2011, a fire changed the salon in an instant. During the rebuilding process, many of the pieces of art and décor that became part of Absolute Salon and Day Spa were created from what remained. Instead of letting that chapter define the loss, it became part of the salon’s identity: taking something damaged and transforming it into something beautiful again.
That same spirit lives in the work we do every day — helping guests feel renewed, confident, and cared for in a space designed with intention, artistry, and heart.

Tera is the owner of Absolute Salon and Day Spa in Shelby Township, MI and has more than 24 years of experience in the beauty industry. She specializes in customized hair transformations, custom hair color, highlights, dimensional blonding, fine and thin hair solutions, grey blending, hair extensions, Brazilian Blowouts, natural-fall haircutting, and polished styling.
Tera’s approach is built around customized beauty, healthy-looking hair, and realistic results. She focuses on listening closely, choosing the right service plan, protecting the integrity of the hair, and creating color, shape, and styling that fit each guest’s lifestyle.
Tera has developed a special focus on fine and thin hair, combining strategic haircutting, customized color placement, highlights, blonding, and round-brush blowout techniques to help hair appear fuller, healthier, and naturally voluminous while maintaining its integrity. For hair extension guests, she also creates a personalized transformation plan designed around the client’s hair, goals, method, color match, fullness, and maintenance needs.
